What we collect

When you sign up for Reset we collect your email, display name, age range, country of residence, preferred language, prior role, industry, severance runway range, and what you tell us about your fears and hopes. During intake we also collect PHQ-9, GAD-7, and an explicit suicide-ideation answer. Daily check-ins store mood, energy, and what you write in the two optional text fields.

What we do NOT collect

We do not collect your real name (unless you choose to use it as your display name), your exact date of birth, your address, your phone number, financial details beyond severance runway, or any health data beyond the intake screening. Reset is adults-only (18+).

Where your data lives

Reset stores your data in Supabase (Postgres) in the EU Central region. Row-level security prevents other members from reading your profile, intake screening, check-ins, or coach messages. Your intake screening is accessible only to you.

Processors

Supabase (database + auth), Stripe (payments), Anthropic (AI coach), PostHog (analytics, EU host), Resend (email), Vercel (hosting), Sentry (error monitoring, EU project). DPAs in place with each.

Your GDPR rights

You may request access, rectification, erasure, or portability of your data at any time. Use the Data Subject Rights portal in settings or email hello@reset.life. Erasure is a soft delete with a 30-day grace period, then hard delete.

Not therapy

Reset is not therapy and is not a substitute for a licensed mental-health provider. If you are in crisis right now, visit /crisis for emergency resources.
